Join the Chuckanut Radio Hour for an evening of original Americana blending bluegrass, folk, & rock, poetry, comedy, and literature.

Dive into isolated PNW mill town Humtown as the Cuban Missile Crisis eases in this novel from Port Townsend author Adrianne Harun! In On the Way to the End of the World, it's 1963, and an eclectic group of characters embark on President Kennedy’s ambitious walking challenge. Her award-winning books include Catch, Release; The King of Limbo; and A Man Came Out of a Door in the Mountain.

Adrianne will be interviewed by local author Ted O'Connell of the band Cape Flattery and author of K: A Novel.

Doors open and music begins at 6:30pm!

Jessie Lu Yoga Bellingham Food Bank benefit Class

Free Yoga Benefit: Join your Fairhaven neighbors for an outdoor, new moon, yoga practice focusing on the yogic principle of Mudita, or sympathetic joy. Forty-five minutes of gentle yoga followed by a 30-minute loving kindness yoga nidra guided mediation. 

This class will be held outside, under the FireHouse grand sycamore tree. Arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to reserve your spot as space will be limited. Visit jessielu.com to print out a waiver and arrive prepared. Students are encouraged to bring the following: yoga mat, block, strap, blanket or two.

All proceeds to be donated to the Bellingham Food Bank.

Village Books/Chuckanut Radio Hour

The Chuckanut Radio Hour, a recipient of Bellingham's prestigious Mayor's Arts Award, is a radio variety show that began in January 2007.

Each Chuckanut Radio Hour includes guest authors, musicians, performance poet Kevin Murphy, and episodes of "As the Ham Turns" serial radio comedy performed by the Chuckanut Radio Players Les Campbell, Tonja Meyers, Lisa Colburn, Dee Robinson, and Robert Muzzy. Not to mention groaner jokes by hosts Paul Hanson, Kelly Evert, and announcer Rich Donnelly.

Tickets for the Chuckanut Radio Hour are $5 and are available on Eventbrite. You can listen to previously recorded programs on Sundays at 7pm on KMRE 102.3 FM.

The Ironheart Foundation goal is simple: to make a positive impact on those affected by heart disease. They do this through sport and scholarship.

The Ironheart Community has grown to be represented in 49 states (U.S.) and 33 countries. Our community is comprised of those living with heart disease, survivors, loved ones, supporters, and members of the medical community.

Becoming part of Ironheart Foundation’s community is a way to connect with others who have a similar passion for heart-health and exercise. Joining can help you not only survive heart disease but THRIVE with it as well. You choose how you want to be involved. Whether you select to represent us in fitness events by wearing our apparel, fundraising, being mentored, or engaging in our social communities. The opportunities are endless.

All funds raised for, or donated to, Ironheart are tax deductible and go to support the Ironheart Scholarship Program. This initiative is our source of giving to those with cardiac disease that have used exercise as a way to better their lives, and now wish to use higher education as a means to make a difference in the world.

Ironheart isn't just for patients. This the local group is about 70% patients, 30% loved ones, don't hesitate to invite other friends and family who might be interested in participating.
